One of the major mistakes men (and many women) make when it comes to skincare is they keep to what works. That may sound counter intuitive – after all, why mess with what’s right? – but when the seasons change, temperature fluctuates or when humidity kicks in, it’s in fact the perfect time to revisit your skincare regime because your body will start to change as it responses to the weather outside.
Of course, any skincare regime begins with a good cleanser and it’s true that if you get this right, all else follows. As a result, I recently tried out the Anthony Logistics Glycolic Facial Cleanser.
Anthony Logistics is one of those brands that’s been around for a while and almost has a cult following. It’s true the company uses proven ingredients to formulate products and their glycolic facial cleanser is no exception. Using glycolic acid (aka hydroxyacetic acid) as a star ingredient, the cleanser leaves your skin clean but doesn’t strip it of its natural oil. Glycolic acid is a form of AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), meaning it penetrates the skin to stimulate new skin. It’s often used in chemical peels. However, the amount in the cleanser is not that high, but sufficient enough for you to see visible clearer skin after a good two/three weeks of use.

Some men’s skin might get irritated with glycolic acid, but those who handle it will find it is a very good aftershave cleanser since it help lift debris from the skin and prevents ingrown hairs and razor burns. The glycolic facial cleanser also contains soothing oils like grapefruit peel oil, mandarin orange peel oil and aloe vera, which means your skin should remain calm and not go red. The fact it’s also fragrance-free and suitable for all skin types is a plus.
